Skerries Harbour - Public Demonstration was held Saturday
29th May at 12:00 noon. Lobbying is ongoing. Please join us
to protest against the sale of Skerries Harbour. PRESS

We
are currently monitoring the situation regarding the new 5
Year County Development Plan. We have made a submission to
the Council and we intend to lobby intensely on behalf of
the better interests of the town when the next draft appears.

The
following is a brief account of some of the projects we were involved
in during the past year:

Submission
made in support of proposed Milverton Demesne Development |
 |
Submission
made to Fingal County Council regarding the new 5 Year County
Development Plan |

Supported
lottery application for funds for converting all weather pitch
into Astroturf. |

Proposed
a new information system to provide updates on all Fingal
County Council projects and activities in Skerries (work in

Worked
with Fingal County Council, Skerries Tidy Towns and other
members of the community to improve the visual appearance
of the back of the harbour wall (removal of old oil tanks
and resurfacing) |

Facilitated
information flow between the council and the community on
the contentious issue of the proposed Skerries Traffic Plan |
 |
Set
up an independent company Hill Mill Ltd, with funding secured
from FAS, to manage Skerries Mills on behalf of Fingal County
Council. |
 |
Hosted
a Christmas reception in Ardgillan to recognise and thank
our sub-committees for their contribution to our community. |

Supported
Community Centre in plans for extension of gym |
