About us...
The purpose of the SCA website is to provide a communication link between the residents of Skerries. The SCA is the umbrella organisation for many of the town's hard working groups,including the Board of Management of Skerries Community Centre, Skerries Tidy Towns Committee, Skerries Town Twinning Association, Skerries Cycling Initiative, Skerrries Soundwaves Festival, Skerries RAS endstage Committee, Crann Padraig, Sustainable Skerries and Little Theatre Funding Committee.

Bike Week Events in Skerries June 16th - 24thThe Skerries Cycling Initiative would like you to know of the cycling events taking place in Skerries during National Bikeweek, June 16th to 24th which are sponsored by Fingal County Council and TMG Cycles. Saturday June 16th 2-4pm, Skerries Mills : FREE BIKE WORKSHOP : learn how to carry out basic bike maintenance/repair. Saturday June 23rd 2-4pm, TMG Cycles Strand St. : FREE BIKE ADVICE :find out what repairs/upgrades you bike needs or what type of bike would meet your needs etc. If you want the repairs/upgrades actually done, you have the option of handing in your bike to have the job done at normal prices. Sunday June 24th, 12 Noon Skerries Mills Car Park : CIRCUIT OF SKERRIES FUN CYCLE : join us in a tour of Skerries town by bike, exploring the labyrinthine links which are there to facilitate cyclists/pedestrians with some historical commentary along the way. This is a virtually hill-free ride, ending with a picnic at Red Island. Weather permitting, you may even want to bring your swimming togs!
