Autumn Equinox Wall Hanging goes on exhibition

The SCA is proud to announce that the magnificent wall hanging on the Autumn Equinox in Skerries, which was unveiled during the Equinox Celebrations at the opening of the Skerries Soundwaves 2 Festival, will form one of the main attractions of an exhibition of work by Feltmakers Ireland.

It will be opened on Thursday 20 October at 7 pm and will continue until 26 November 2005. All are welcome.

The wall hanging is the result of this year’s schools programme and was designed by the Transition Year of the Skerries Community College and made by children of all National Schools in Skerries. The project was led by local fabric artist Clodagh McDonagh and her assistant Siobhan Coffey. After its stint in Blanchardstown, it will go on tour around these local schools. Eventually, it will be put on permanent display in the Skerries Community College
