New Primary School in Skerries for September ’08 – Notice of Parents’ Information Evening

A parents’ information evening to learn more about Educate Together (ET) will be held in the Little Theatre, Old School on Thursday September 13th at 8 pm.  Educate Together is a registered patron intending to apply to open the proposed new school at Kelly’s Bay. The meeting will be hosted by Skerries Community Association.  

The meeting is open to all but it is particularly important that parents with children born in 2003 onwards attend.  This is because current school capacity in Skerries has an estimated shortfall of over 80 places for children born in 2003. Parents interested in joining an ET start up group for the new school should contact Caroline now on email carolinewalsh@iol.ie  or mobile 086-8240113.  

The final choice of patron will be made by the Minister upon the recommendation of the New Schools Advisory Committee (NSAC). It is open to any other patron to apply for patronage of this school.
