On Monday 21 June 2010 the SCA facilitated a meeting between  Fingal County Council's Parks Department and two local residents who had concerns about the the recent changes to the management of the green area at Townparks.  The meeting was very constructive and the minutes are attached.

The next step is to set up a process whereby residents can express their views about what the Green could/should be like in the future.

It is hoped that a groups of residents will then form to take "ownership" of the Green and work in partnership with the Council as a pilot study for its new "Growing Places" policy. This should lead to good outcomes for everyone concerned.

A Facebook account has been set up to allow those who are concerned and interested in the Green to express and exchange their views.  The account name is “Townparks Green”.  Log on to add your comments and see what others think.
