Cycling Update : SCI meets McMahon Design Management

As you will have heard, Fingal County Council have been awarded funding from the Dept. of Transport Smarter Travel Fund to develop cycling in the Skerries-Balbriggan area. On March 3rd the Skerries Cycling Initiative (SCI) had their first meeting with McMahon Design Management (MDM) for an exchange of views over how the money should be spent.  We are happy to report a most cordial and productive meeting. A major objective in MDM's brief is to analyse a broad circuit to Balbriggan via the R127 Skerries-Balbriggan road, returning to Skerries vial Balrothery, Ardgillan Demesne, Milverton, Togher Hill.  This circuit has powerful potential for both commuter and recreational cyclists (and walkers !).
